Painting Portraits in Oil

facilitated by Gilda Horne

Learn how to paint a portrait in oil from start to finish!  We will spend time working with a model, learning how to set up a photo session.  Gilda will demonstrate mixing a compete range of flesh tones, then we will spend the remainder of the course working from a photo taking during the first session.  Although you should be somewhat familiar with oil painting, this class is for beginners to intermediate oil painters.

Sandra & Marion will lead you on a journey through Betty Edward's award-winning book.  This course is designed to expose self-proclaimed non-artists to the joys of drawing.  The ability to "draw a straight line" is not required, in fact, that's why rulers were developed!  Basic drawing supplies are included in the fee for this course.

The book may be purchased using the Amazon.com search box
